These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Parly (the “Service”) at goparly.com, operated by Teodor Costache, a sole proprietor based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA (“Parly”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Parly, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Parly. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian permits your use. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. Parly is currently available to people in the Greater Boston area.
Parly is a platform that helps creative professionals and academics discover collaboration opportunities based on their skills. Parly introduces members to one another and to opportunities — it is not a party to, and is not responsible for, any collaboration, communication, agreement, or transaction between members.
Parly is in beta. Features may change, be added or removed, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time.
You sign in through Google. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your account information accurate. You may verify an academic affiliation; you agree only to verify an affiliation that genuinely belongs to you.
You agree not to:
Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal of your account, at our discretion.
Only verified members may post opportunities. Posting an opportunity uses in-app credits. Credits have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-refundable and non-transferable. During the beta, credits are provided free of charge, and we may change how credits work at any time.
You keep ownership of the content you submit (your profile, roles, specializations, and opportunities). You grant Parly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt, abridge, and use that content to operate, improve, and promote the Service — including promoting opportunities and platform content on social media and other marketing channels in a form that does not reveal your identity or contact information. You represent that you have the rights to the content you post and that it does not violate these Terms or the law.
Parly does not vet or verify members, the accuracy of their profiles, or the opportunities they post. Any decision to collaborate, communicate, or transact with another member is yours alone. Use good judgment and caution. Parly is not responsible for the conduct of any member or for the outcome of any collaboration.
Parly uses automated AI systems to validate entries, generate matches, and answer questions. These results are generated by software, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and are not professional advice. Use your own judgment.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parly and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunities, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parly and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
You may stop using Parly and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
By creating an account, you agree to receive essential service emails (such as verification codes and opportunity notifications), which are required to use Parly. We may also send occasional product or promotional emails, which you can opt out of at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Effective date” above, and for material changes we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of Parly after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
